History

In January of 1986, a small group of education-minded congregants at Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church formed Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Preschool. The preschool opened its doors that year to six students. The Lord blessed the ministry and today there are about 200 children in the preschool and pre-kindergarten programs.

Our preschool provides educational excellence in an atmosphere of Christian love. In partnership with parents, we provide developmentally appropriate, activity-based, and Christ-centered curriculum to meet children’s spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs. The Preschool is accredited through the National Association for the Education of Young Children. Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Preschool was one of the first preschools in the Phoenix metropolitan areas to become nationally accredited. CGLP has maintained the strict standards of NAEYC accreditation since 1998.

Seeing the need to expand Christian education, the elementary grades were gradually added beginning in 1995 with a kindergarten class. Additional grades were added in subsequent years and today the enrollment includes Kindergarten through eighth grade.

God has truly blessed Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran School with students, parents, teachers, and staff that have formed a close-knit family who care and support each other as we grow together in the wisdom and knowledge of the Lord and His creation.

We are associated with the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. We hold that the Holy Bible is the inerrant Word of God given to His people as a guide, rule, and norm for living. The faculty and staff are committed to assisting parents in developing their children in mind, body, and spirit for service to Christ in the Church and the world.
